MCC Fundraising Luncheon
Garden Park Tower Luncheon - June 8, 2013
As we gather around these tables and share a meal, we also have the opportunity to share our gifts with those in need. This Luncheon Fundraiser supports MCC’s relief, development and peace work in more than 50 countries around the world – giving where it’s needed most!
Luncheon begins at 12:00 noon
Tickets $7.50 available at the MCC Office and the MCC Plaza Thrift Shop, the Garden Park office, and some local churches
Our Guest Speaker: Pastor David Esau
David Esau, is the pastor at Eagle Ridge Bible Fellowship. He's pictured here with a family whose home his church, together with MCC, helped build in 2012. In March 2013, David joined 2 other pastors from BC, traveling to Colombia to meet with church leaders and learning what it is to share the gospel in the context of poverty, injustice and conflict. The goal in bringing Canadian and Colombian church leaders together was to inspire each other to greater faithfulness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
David and his wife Elaine have three children (Ryan in Gr. 12, Nathan at SFU, Jessica at Douglas College). He enjoys golfing, reading, and singing, and as a family they enjoy camping and long road trips. While he has had a long time interest in global mission and development work, his trip to Colombia was the first time David had been off the North American continent. David will share stories from his trip and bring greetings from the church in Colombia
Our Musical Guests: The Heritage Singers
There’s nothing quite like the sound of voices blending in wonderful harmony, singing the praises of our Lord. That’s exactly what the Heritage Quartet will share with us. They are: Harry & Agnes Doerksen, Henry Esau, George and Mary Baier, and Ken & Myrna Goertzen.
