About the MCC Thrift Shops
Generous donations of good used items to the Thrift Shops are accepted by volunteers who sort, repair, and price them. These volunteers also staff the shops. Unsalable items are recycled into rugs, quilts, and blankets, commercial rags and other crafted items. What will you find in our shops? Clothing and footwear, bedding, books, collectibles and antiques, kitchen items, decorator items, household goods, jewelry, toys, games, furniture, hardware and gardening tools, bicycles and more. Here in BC, our Thrift Shops have raised over $1 million dollars annually over the last number of years. Your purchases are a gift to others, enabling MCC to do its work in more than 50 countries worldwide. Volunteers make it happen at these stores, if you would like to volunteer for all or part of a day each week or once a month or if you have time to do some work from home, contact the store nearest you and talk to the manager. For more information about our Thrift Shops or to volunteer, contact the Thrift Shop nearest you or contact our office.
