Abuse Response & Prevention

Caring in the Name of Christ

The MCC Abuse Prevention Program exists to provide the following response to people experiencing abuse in relationships:

  • Support Groups for women who have been or are in abusive situations

  • Training for support group facilitators and other professionals

  • Education and awareness-raising on abuse prevention and response

  • Pastoral Training on abuse dynamics

  • Liaison with community groups and conference leaders.

'When Love Hurts' ~ a 10 week support group for women experiencing abuse in their intimate relationship will be starting in April, 2012. For more information, call Elsie Goerzen, 604-845-0841, or email endabuse@mccbc.com.

It is our hope and prayer that healing will come through the work of the Abuse Prevention Program and that abundant living won't be just a distant dream but become a reality for many.
